Luke 9:38-40

³⁸ Suddenly, a man in the crowd shouted, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, because he is my only living child.^{[a] 39} Without warning a spirit takes control of him, and he suddenly screams, goes into convulsions, and foams at the mouth. The spirit^[b] mauls him and refuses to leave him. ⁴⁰ I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.”
